From E-commerce to Enlightenment: How My Business Became My Greatest Spiritual Teacher

I want to share something that completely changed my perspective on entrepreneurship – and trust me, it’s probably not what you’re expecting.

You know how it goes when you first start a business – I was all about the metrics, strategies, and growth plans. Spreadsheets were my best friends, and I thought I had it all figured out. (Spoiler alert: I didn’t!)

What I never saw coming was how my e-commerce business would turn into the most powerful personal growth journey of my life. Talk about a plot twist, right?

Here’s what happened: As my business started taking off (exciting!), I hit challenges that no business strategy could solve. Sure, I could handle the logistics and operations, but something deeper was going on. I was dealing with stress I couldn’t shake, anxiety that wouldn’t budge, and patterns in my business that kept repeating – you know, those “why does this keep happening?” moments we all have.

The real lightbulb moment? I realized my business success wasn’t just about what I was doing – it was about who I was being. Mind-blowing, right? It forced me to ask myself: “Who do I need to become to grow this business beyond my wildest dreams?”

This sent me down a fascinating rabbit hole. I dove into the work of Dr. Joe Dispenza and Dr. David Hawkins (total game-changers!) and discovered something pretty wild – everything in our world, including our thoughts and emotions, operates on different energy frequencies. Those persistent challenges in my business? They weren’t random at all – they were actually reflecting back my own internal state.

Let me give you an example: When I kept running into the same client issues or team conflicts, instead of just trying to “fix” the problem, I started asking myself: “What energy am I bringing to this? What patterns am I running that created this situation?” It completely changed the game.

Instead of pushing harder when things got tough (my old go-to move), I learned to pause and notice what was really happening. Was I making decisions from a place of fear or love? Was I trying to force things to happen, or was I allowing them to flow? Trust me, these questions led to better solutions than any strategy session ever did.

The person I am in my business today is worlds apart from who I was when I started. And you know what? That’s the real success story – not the revenue growth or client wins (though those are nice too!).

For my fellow entrepreneurs out there, I’m curious: Does any of this resonate with you? Maybe start paying attention to:

  • How your energy might be affecting your business (it’s wild when you notice it!)
  • Those patterns that keep showing up in your business relationships
  • Whether you’re pushing too hard or flowing with opportunities
  • What your business might be trying to teach you about yourself

Here’s the truth I’ve learned: Success isn’t just about crushing goals and hitting targets. It’s about who we become along the way. Every challenge is actually an invitation to level up – not just in business, but as a person.

I’d love to hear your stories! Has your business journey surprised you with unexpected personal growth? What’s the biggest lesson your entrepreneurial path has taught you about yourself?
