Common Questions

“I forgot to use the tools in the moment and only remembered afterward. Did I fail?” Not at all! Remembering afterward is actually an important step in the learning process. Each time you notice “I could have used my tools there,” you’re strengthening your awareness, which makes it more likely you’ll remember next time. This is how new habits develop—gradually and with plenty of “learning moments” along the way.

“Everything happens so fast—I don’t have time to go through all these steps in real situations.” With practice, this process becomes much faster and more intuitive. Begin by practicing in less intense situations where you have more space to respond. As the neural pathways strengthen, you’ll find yourself able to move through the steps more quickly, eventually reaching a point where much of the process happens automatically.

“I tried using the tools but still got emotionally hijacked. What am I doing wrong?” You’re not doing anything wrong! Remember that you’re working against patterns that may have been in place for decades. Even a small pause or moment of awareness in a trigger situation is progress. Over time, that space will naturally expand, allowing for more conscious response even in intense situations.
