Common Questions
“I’m having trouble identifying emotions in my body. Is this normal?” Absolutely! Many of us were never taught to connect emotions with physical sensations. Start simply by noticing areas of tension, heaviness, or discomfort without needing to name specific emotions. With practice, the connections will become clearer.
“I identified several blocked areas. Should I work with all of them?” It’s best to start with just one area, especially when beginning this practice. Choose either the block that feels most prominent or the one that feels most manageable. This focused approach allows for deeper exploration without becoming overwhelming.
“What if emotions feel too intense when I bring awareness to blocked areas?” This is a sign to proceed gently and at your own pace. If a particular area feels too charged, you can direct your awareness to a neutral or comfortable part of your body for a few breaths before returning to the edge of the challenging area. Remember that you’re in control of this process—small steps create meaningful change.
