Today’s Practice: Body Awareness Audit (15 Minutes)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Create a quiet space where you can reflect without interruption.
  2. Begin with three deep breaths, feeling your body’s response to this simple act of nourishment.
  3. In your journal, explore these questions with curiosity and compassion:

    Current Patterns:
    • How do you currently speak to your body? Notice the tone and words you use.
    • What signals from your body do you tend to ignore (hunger, fatigue, tension, etc.)?
    • What activities make your body feel good and energized?
    • What activities leave you feeling depleted?
    • Where do you feel the most pressure or “shoulds” around your physical health?
  4. Gentle Exploration:
    • What small change feels most appealing to you right now?
    • Is there a form of movement you’ve always wanted to try?
    • What does your body naturally gravitate toward?
    • What’s one signal from your body you’d like to start honoring more?
  5. From your reflections, choose one small step that feels genuinely appealing and doable:
    • Perhaps a gentle morning stretch
    • Taking a walk without tracking steps or distance
    • Drinking more water throughout your day
    • Creating a calmer bedtime environment
    • Simply pausing to feel your breath several times daily
  6. Make a specific plan for implementing this one small change:
    • When will you begin?
    • What might help you remember?
    • How will you support yourself in maintaining this practice?
