Personal Insight

When I did my first boundary audit, I was surprised to discover that my weakest boundaries weren’t with difficult clients or demanding friends—they were with myself. I consistently broke promises to myself about work hours, self-care time, and rest. This insight was transformative: strengthening my self-boundaries naturally improved my ability to maintain boundaries with others.

I realized that every time I honored a boundary with myself—whether it was ending work at a reasonable hour or protecting my morning ritual—I was actively rewiring my neural pathways to support greater self-love and self-respect. These self-boundaries became the foundation for all other boundaries in my life.
